ULG Skilled Trades is currently hiring for the position of Welder Fabricator in the Grove City, Ohio area. This is a professional opportunity with a competitive pay range of $20-$28 per hour, depending on experience (BOE). The work hours for this position are from 6am to 2:30pm. Responsibilities: - Conduct visual inspections of parts. - Lay out, position, and secure parts to fabricate materials according to specifications, utilizing tools such as straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. - Proficiency in the use of saws, torches, and hand plasma. - Perform welding tasks in all positions. - Set up work stations. - Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. - Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately. - Maintain regular attendance and possess reliable means of transportation. - Transport materials from the yard using forklifts and side loaders. Requirements: - Ability to pass an AWS D.1.1 3G vertical up in FLUX CORE test. - Good and stable work history. - Proficiency in reading and comprehending welding symbols and blueprints. - Reliable means of transportation. - Previous experience in FLUX CORE welding. - Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus. - Successful completion of a background check and drug screen. - Ability to work according to order schedules. - Proficient in following directions and completing assignments. - Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality. - Effective verbal communication skills. - Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. - Capability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques. - Dedication and motivation to meet customer quality and delivery requirements. - Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. - Skill in inspecting own work and the work of others. - Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to details.
