Our company is a mid-sized trucking company with operations in multiple states. We are currently seeking a Driver Recruiter to support our nationwide expansion.
Job Description:
The Driver Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and recruiting qualified CDL Class A drivers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in human resources, transportation, and safety divisions. Key responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and creating a positive business environment for the long-term retention of company drivers. Previous trucking recruitment experience is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively recruit Company Drivers and Owner Operators through various advertisement mediums and lead generation.
- Utilize all company resources for the recruiting process, including phone, computer, and Internet, to manage sourcing and advertising of openings.
- Develop and maintain a database of Company, Contractor, and My Truck candidates.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the local driver labor market and build relationships with drivers through various sources.
- Ensure DOT compliance during recruitment and hiring process and handle candidate files for review by the Safety Department.
- Adhere to all federal/state laws and regulations and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences throughout the recruitment process.
- Review weekly reports on Driver performance and communicate effectively through both verbal and written channels.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment and conduct cold calls regularly.
- Possess strong prioritization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to motivate others, type efficiently, and actively listen.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates preferred
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Maintain a sales mentality and conduct cold calls regularly
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to motivate others and problem-solving skills
- Typing skills and the ability to multitask effectively
